Members of the Florida Army National Guard and the Army Reserve can enroll in the ROTC program during the summer prior to the start of their sophomore year of college. Usually, this is after the freshman year for the traditional 4-year degree program. However, for someone attending graduate school, they can enroll prior to the start of their last 2 years of education.

REQUIREMENTS:
All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: US Citizen Less then 32 years old at graduation 2.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average on 4.0 scale Be in good physical condition and be able to pass a medical examination Pass the Army Physical Fitness Test (push ups, sit ups, 2 mile run) Meet Height/Weight Requirements
OBLIGATIONS:
6 year ARNG/USAR commitment, or 3 years active duty
All cadets are required to take one ROTC course per quarter (see below) and a lab. The time commitment is approximately 7-10 hours weekly.

In addition to the ROTC courses listed above all cadets must take one class in military history and pass a swim test.
All cadets are required to attend Physical Training (PT) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning from 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM. All Cadets take part in one Field Training Exercise (FTX) every quarter. This usually involves a Friday through Sunday at a nearby military base.
